DESCRIPTION:Doris “Granny D” Haddock is fondly remembered for her epic 3\,200-mile cross-country walk at age 90 to support campaign finance reform. This annual walk reminds us her commitment to fair and open elections and encourages us all to carry on her work. \nPlease join us for a 6-mile supported walk from Dublin to Peterborough in Granny D’s honor! \nWalkers will gather at the corner of Cobb Meadow Rd. and E. Harrisville Rd. in Dublin\, near Granny D’s home.\nThe walk will end in downtown Peterborough for a Community Celebration complete with lunch\, free Ben & Jerry’s ice cream\, speakers and entertainment.\n\nCar poolers are needed to leave from the Plymouth area at 7:00 am for this event. DESCRIPTION:Live\, Love\, Latch! is a National Breastfeeding Month celebration presented by La Leche League USA and hosted by LLL Groups throughout the country. \nDid you know that New Hamsphire’s last active legislation to protect working mothers who chose to breastfeed was 22 years ago? At a recent World Health assembly\, the United States sided with formula companies making an unprecedented statement to the World that could make serious impacts on mothers and their biological right to breastfeed. \n\nJoin White Mountain La Leche League on August 5th to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week at our 3rd Annual Live\, Love\, Latch Family Beach Party!to show our community that New Hampshire stands with breastfeeding individuals! Your presence is crucial in showing our young families that we stand alongside them in giving their babies the best start to life that they can. You do not have to be a parent or have breastfed to be involved. Every person that joins us matters and the impact that your attendance makes is great. The party will last from 10-3 at Leavitt Park Beach in Meredith. In addition\, there will be a raffle & silent auction to help White Mountain La Leche League give mothers and babies the support and education they deserve. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for some wine\, cheese and a meeting with our 2 fabulous NH House candidates\, Kevin Maes and Francesca Diggs! As most of you know\, our state legislature is basically a volunteer position ($100 annual stipend). Although I’m sure many of us wish we could represent our community in Concord\, most of us just don’t have the time or ability to do so. But we can support those who are willing to put themselves out there\, on behalf of all of us\, by giving our support to their campaigns (calls\, canvassing & cash are all welcome.
