In pre-COVID days, everything was laid out nice and neat for PAD monthly meetings. Nowadays, it seems things are always a little off-kilter and different. September’s monthly meeting is no exception – the most important difference being that its in OCTOBER!
Working on the premise that most people are feeling a bit of ZOOM fatigue, we wanted to offer something that gets you out of the house but still keeps you safe! We are so excited to present our Sept/Oct meeting as a VP Debate Drive-In Watch Party.
Please arrive no later than 8:30 so that we can get all cars parked properly for best viewing and also do some PAD business. Bring your own snacks and warm drinks but there there will be a cash bar and free snacks provided by The Common Man. We will also have yard signs for all candidates for you to take home. Donations are appreciated and all funds raised will benefit local candidates.
This is a drive in event, participants will remain in their vehicles unless using the restrooms or visiting the cash bar.
Cars will be parked based on vehicle size. Large SUVs and Trucks in the back and compact cars in the front.
SAFETY GUIDELINES
Safety and security are our top priority. For that reason we will be enforcing the following safety guidelines. Failure to adhere to these safety guidelines will result in guests removal from the venue.
Mask up! Wear a mask if you leave your vehicle for any reason.
Keep it contactless. Staff will distribute PPE via basket to eliminate contact if you need it, and we will contactlessly distribute lawn signs for attendees who want them directly into the trunk of their car.
Practice social distancing. Guests will be required to remain in their cars unless they need to use the restroom or wish to visit the cash bar. This requirement includes, but is not limited to, the use of lawn chairs near or in the cargo bed of guests’ vehicles. If you do use the restroom, you are required to practice social distancing, wear a mask at all times, and properly wash your hands afterwards to stop the spread of germs. For anyone outside (i.e. using the bathroom, event personnel), you will be required to maintain 6 feet apart from others.
Follow guidance from Security. Security will be on site to ensure enforcement of safety guidelines.
Do not attend if you are sick. Please do not attend this event if you are feeling sick (including any fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell) or have been in contact with someone exhibiting symptoms.
