The DNC’s officers, under the leadership of Chair Jaime Harrison, come from every walk of life and represent all that is best about the Democratic Party. Plymouth Area Democrats believe, just as the national party does that when we organize everywhere, we can win anywhere. As a regional committee, we are committed to the same ideas as the National Democratic Party and work to support their platform. As issues arise that directly affect the Plymouth area, Plymouth Area Democrats will develop stances on these issues and strategies that propel our party’s ideals forward.
Every four years, Democrats from across the country join together to craft our party’s platform. The platform is created to uplift working people and write out the values that will guide our party for years to come.
The New Hampshire Democratic Party is committed to supporting the DNC at the state level. In 2020, the Platform committee revisited the NHDP State Platform and adapted it to our priorities for 2020. The final platform was voted on and adopted during the voting period for our first-ever Virtual NHDP State Convention, which ran from May 9 – May 23
